I don't know how safe it is but I'm sure they gonna tax u alot.First they will charge u here in the US and once it reach Nepal custom duty tax on those items .Couple of yrs ago I sent phone via Fedex ,custom duty tax around RS 20,000 which was almost what it worth.

Yes.Fedex normally delivers to your address and makes the receipient pay the customs charged in Nepal,but they make sure you shipment is delivered. With USPS, your shipment goes to office in sundhara and they will call you only one time to pick up the shipment and pay customs. If I had to send items like that I would use Fedex than USPS. Customs rate is also high for cell phones and add the shipment cost of 50-75 dollars or more.

You do not want to do that because you will be end up paying more taxes than the device cost.

I send one phone on 125 dollar last week. No tax in Nepal . And home delivery with guarantee. From NY.
