I had a piece of land in my name in Nepal and now would like to have my brother sell the land as I have no plan to go there anytime soon. He sent me a legal letter "manjurinama" from lawyer and arrived here in my place in USA yesterday. Now I do not know where should I go to attest/verify/sign etc. the document so that I can send it back to Nepal and my brother will be able to sell the land without me. I would appreciate friends sharing their experiences/suggestions on this. Thanks.

Any Nepali officer in USA can do that for you . Either consulate office in New York or Nepali Embassy in DC.

Yes I did it in NY Consulate a few years ago. Its called Power of Attorney or Waarisnama.
